very cool! standoff with a Deer
Last night was a great ride home.
I was cruising the bike trail along the Mohawk river while the sun set , I saw the many many rabbits scurrying about, I caught a glimpse in my light of a grey fox hunting Probably the rabbits.
well after the sun went down about 5:40 pm I switched to my 20 watt light and was cruising at a good speed and came across a Big 200+ lb 10 point Buck standing on the paved trail very close to a busy road.
I stopped ,he just didnt want to move,he stared at my light long enough for me to count his rack he snorted a few times Much to my enjoyment , then he turned and faced me head on I yelled "get out of here" he then bolted off the trail across the road and into the darkness like a wisp of wind.
I just love riding the bike path.
actually in august one morning about 7 am I came upon a Doe and 2 yearlings, the doe jumped into the woods but the 2 young ones ran right next to me for about 60 yards. LOVE IT!!
Hmm that buck is a smart one as its living very close to a residential area.
thats why its a big one , its safe.
