I used to commute to work through the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve in San Diego. Lots of animals there. The mule deer would bound away. One time I got to race a coyote for about a hundred yards, and some small rabbit owes its life to me as I surprised the bobcat that was just about to trap it.
I'll be lucky to ever find a commute that compares.
