Understand. I am not at all impressed with the MTB thing, simply because so many say how fun it is, and can't wait to get back to it in 6 months. You know. After they heal up.
I'm somewhat glad that my local trails aren't all that crazy.
The only way to get in to a lot of trouble on them is to go really fast, but I'm not a good enough mountain biker to get up even close to that speed
