By the way, on this, I discovered that my LBS had installed the bolt the wrong way round. They had put the 6mm steel bolt in from the right drive side, and the 8mm alu nut on the NDS. So I had been tightening the soft aluminium bolt because I'd read you should only tighten the NDS, which was the complete opposite of what I should have been doing.
Anyway - swapped it round and used loctite blue to try to keep it from moving. Been largely hiding from the weather since then so not 100% sure it's going to solve the problem.
