Is the replacement fork something that's readily available?
I have no clue.... in case it's no obvious I have no clue about the actual mechanics involved. LOL. I suppose the best thing is to go to a LBS and ask there but sometimes a little knowledge ahead of talking to the mechanic or salesperson is a good thing.
