I like snakes. A few years ago when I was riding somewhere between Poplarville and Gulfport, Mississippi, a big black snake came highballing out of the tall grass at the edge of the road and directly under my wheel--no time to stop. Poor fellow, I could see him tying himself up in knots in his death throes as I fled the scene. I still feel bad about it.
