I thought I would post this here thinking that maybe someone had tackled this problem before..

I have some practically brand new SpeedplayX pedals, and I would like to use them mainly on the road.

I don't like having them on a pair of road shoes for a couple of reasons. 1) they are cumbersome weird on the bottom of my feet (kinda like my old Look pedals...) 2) the covers are a PITA to put on and off, and keep track of. If you have ever walked through mud with them on you will soon find out that the suction from the mud will pull them right off your feet.

So my question is this; Has anyone found a good mountain shoe/Speedplay X combination?
