Denver has a pretty nice "grid" of bike routes, that use low traffic side streets. even numbered routes travel in a general north-south and odds east-west (or maybe that's backwards). these usually have very few stops as well which is nice. the streets are marked with these small signs to let you know if the route changes directions or also when the route aligns with a major street these tell you when it's safe to "use sidewalk" or "crosswalk" and then guide you back to "use street" when it's safe. it's been very helpful as a new commuter. keeping on-route is so much more convenient than trying to explore randomly and finding yourself at stop signs every block. photos aren't mine btw I just googled them
