On today's 5 km lunch walk ... I made it to the botanical gardens! Just. I pretty much had to turn around and go back when I got there. However, I was hindered by my skirt. I had changed my shoes for the walk, but a long-ish pencil skirt just doesn't work well for longer walks.
I'm going to have to start bringing shorts to change into.
My plan, over the summer, is to see how far I can go in a lunch break, and what I can see. I'll head out in different directions several times a week. Some days I'll have to run errands etc. at lunch, and that's OK, but I'm planning these exploratory walks two or three days a week.
