The market dictates the price, and this could be for a very small market. Like these guys.
You'd have to be a collector to pay that, but is the bike in collectible quality shape?
Put simply, a person looking for a cheap used carbon mountain bike will not pay that price, which gets you a respectable lighter new bike, all in.
