I would say safety is first. Making sure it meets government standards. If it fits and comfortable but won’t protect the rider then what’s the point.

I’m not sure anyone actually enjoys wearing a helmet, especially in hot weather. For some it’s a sense of security and makes the ride more enjoyable.
