Fascinating replies, thanks! Have been looking at all of these. The Veloflex is a truly light tire. Pro 4 LTD and Power Competition look really nice. And Specialized is making some fine rubber. Wow, tough choice.

Buying these for an event that features nice blacktop with little chance of flatting- (uh oh..) they won't be used as an every day tire. Not looking to go tubeless.
