I always love hearing about how kids would cheat during the Superweek era. They would stack a 11 or 12 cog at the back of the cassette - hidden behind the 25 or 28. When going for the sprint they would shift it up and over the large cog and into the 12 to finish. I'd want to see that before I believe it. The chainline alone from the big ring to the innermost cog is usually garbage, now make that inner cog tiny and next to a fat cog directly in the line?
Also, what kind of ref who is looking at the cassette to ensure you're in the biggest gear isn't going to spot something that weird! All sounds like a made-up ****** post.
