It seems that this is the greatest drawback to the concept of an e-bike. Electrical component/battery/motor failure that leaves you astride a boat anchor. No thanks.
I often wonder how E-bike performance changes as the battery ages or the number of charges the battery has had increases by a lot. Then too, what happens in a few years if your battery dies and there's no longer a replacement made that fits your E-bike?
