Huh, I had a random thought lately about this encounter.

It really wasn't a big deal - no harm, no foul, I guess. But I realized that when I heard him come up behind me, I put up some fingers to let him know that I knew he was there. But now I wonder, did he perhaps take that as a sign that the way was clear and he could go ahead? He may have thought I had better visibility. Just a "huh."
