It's not that much of a difference (and plain dumb to think that would serve as a basis for "snobbery").

nonsense. You only get 2.5 (you said 3x earlier!) if you use the discounted Gearbest price.
The similar (likely, better) units are the 520 (the slightly more-expensive 530 is a better choice) and the Wahoo Bolt and they cost $250.
