Both are superb. I could watch the glass blowing demos at Corning all day long.

And the wines are so much better than you would think. Best bets are the dry Rieslings and Ravines and Forge are the best places to get those. The Wine Spectator scores are almost always in the 90s often as high as 93. Herman Wiemer also has good whites, but they are a very good choice for Cabernet Franc reds. Not as heavy a style as Bordeaux and Cali, more like Loire Cab Francs. Wiemer also excels in the sweet, dessert wine category. IMO avoid the Pinot Noirs. Also in the Loire style, but not worth the time and money. Prices are uniformly reasonable. One other place we like is Anthony Road. We enjoy wine touring in the Finger Lakes every bit as much as in the California districts.
