Shipping with beats flying with any day. The other good thing about shipping ahead is you know the bike is there before you get there. Not so certain the same if you fly with it. And the chances of it not getting there increase with connections. The only problem is you don't have a ride out of the airport.

And of course if it is international travel shipping ahead can be very expensive.

But I am convinced the best way is to go by train. Once I retire and have more time, I doubt I will fly anymore.
