This is up an coming. Primarily finding ways for machines to generate re-order points and get "feed" without needing people involved. Still, pretty far behind what I would expect a utility company to do.
Utilities are very slow to adapt to new technologies and techniques in general. Nature of their business. Mistakes get people killed and destroy millions of dollars of equipment.
