That's the biggest part, make sure it's a longer cage. Sheldon says it's the shift levers & cassette/freewheel that matter, not the RD, & I kinda believe him. I've just switched to a Ultegra RD-6500, from a SunTour XC Pro, because it's just a bit longer cage, & works great. I might have been able to mod the XC Pro to work, but I like having a little margin for error.
