I know that this is an old thread, but as a testicular cancer survivor.... If you have pain in a testicle, definitely do a self-exam. If anything seems wrong at all, see a doctor. If nothing seems wrong, but the pain persists, consider seeing a doctor anyway. In many cases, the pain will indicate something else, but it's not something to ignore.
