How long you been riding 200+ mi/year?

Sorry, but ... you mean 200+ mi/month, right?

But if you're seriously asking how long I've been riding 200+ miles per YEAR ...

I started cycling when I was 6. That was 44 years ago. I didn't keep track then, but I rode quite a bit, partly because both my parents were into cycling and we rode together, plus I commuted to school by bicycle, and of course, I cycled all over the neighbourhood.

Between about 17 and 23, I didn't ride much ... possibly something in the 200 miles/year range.

And then on April 29, 1990, when I was 23, I started cycling "seriously" again, and reached 1000 miles (1600 km) in 4 months ... and just continued from there. April 29, 2018 will be 28 years.

I talk in kilometres, of course so ...

I've averaged roughly 10,000 km many years with a big year of over 14,000 km. I've had a few low years in there with only 2000 or 3000 km, but most have quite a bit more.

I have worked (sometimes as many as 4 jobs at once) or have worked and attended further education at the same time most of those years.
