My wife has commented about the condition of my ring a few times. The way I look at it, my ring is a part of me in a similar way to my marriage. Life might rough things up from time to time, but the ring - and our marriage - endures. I care more about the ring for what it means, not how shiny it is or isn't.

I mean, I do ride without gloves fairly often in the summer so it's clearly visible.
