Ahh back when NJS was a thing lol.
That stamp isn't indicative of some upper tier of quality, but rather a minimum floor of tolerance.
It just means that the equipment was approved to be ridden on a track.
I never understood the keirin hype back then. But I had just come from the BMX world so I was into a different vibe.
I did very seriously consider getting some brightly colored deep V's. Still remember sitting in the FULL ROOM I was renting, paying what I would be lucky to get a closet space for nowadays, looking at the old Velocity website with all the colored options on full display on my brand new laptop. I saw all sorts of interesting people all over the str33ts too. But alas, I rode my bike by myself most of the time in some weird vaccum of being alone in a densely populated area.
Still some of the best days of my life.
