Yeah, having all that built-up salt wash into your eyes is the worst. That's why I periodically rinse out my helmets.
My Halo headband is very helpful for exactly this thing, but the amount of salt runoff can be overwhelming in a rainstorm. That is why I like my rain jacket hood pulled over my head - reduces the sweat runoff substantially.
