Morelon, Trentin, the balance of the team that I do not recall the names of, and the coach Louis "toto" Gerardin also rode. The bikes, Chrome LeJeunes.
The track bikes were a bit different, also chrome, but one I knew was a Gemini due to the stay ends and lug cutouts.
Chrome travels well.
This ride totally quashed the then accepted paradigm that sprinters don't ride hills.
Morelon did outsprint a German Shepard dog that chased him on Nichols Canyon road.
