It's all about the angles. My Merckx Corsa Extra handles completely different (more responsive) than either of of my Colnagos.
....and my EM Corsa Extra rides so much differently than my DeRosa Pro. Both SLX, within 1cm of same frame size, and perhaps 1 year apart.
DeRosa is rumored to use an SP downtube on larger frames (mid-80's), and maybe changes in the fork, but IDK for sure.
A bunch of butted R531 in the group and they ride differently as well.
