Sure I have an idea it could be one of several brands but would need at least one picture to get anywhere (besides blind guesses).
Two of the most popular types use either a pentagon key, like an Allen wrench but 5-not-6-sided, a bike shop may have a replacement, OR could be the "Pinhead" brand that have a dome-shaped nut with unique pattern of divots that only the certain key will match. Replacements are also available but best bet is to take the bike to a Pinhead dealer (no offense!) who can determine which key will fit and help you order one...or Plan B is destructive removal with a Dremel and cut-off wheel!
