Yes - it does. Do it. Buy premium fuel, change oil.

I threw a rod on my tuned 2001 S4 with 180K on it. I had the option of spending about $20K for new engine, turbos and stuff for a reported 450hp result. I sold it for $1K and the mechanic made it my dream car. But I was too old for it and there is hardly any place to drive such a car responsibility.
Such places are I-8 (Yuma, AZ, East), and Montana.
