To be fair, Hermes, you also live in Southern California, where one can ride outdoors pretty much year round. Those of us who live in areas that have real winters do not have that luxury. So, indoor training is a necessity. And for some people, Peloton fills that need. I prefer a basic trainer, intervals and TV shows. Others like Zwift, and I do believe you can run Zwift on a Peloton - though I assume that doesn't help with Peloton's subscription rates.

I will add that one of the Peloton instructors is an accomplished track racer.
