You Southerners: how do you do it in that heat and humidity???? I doff helmet to you. Allen TX? SE US? Forsooth!

I doubt that I'll ride tomorrow, so:

My goals for August were: ride more miles than August, 2018, when I rode 199 miles, get to 900 miles (small stretch, needed 240 miles) and, bigger stretch, get to 300 miles for the month.

Actual mileage (per Strava): 300.51 miles, total: 936.28 - goals reached. Another goal I reached was to do 12 miles in the first hour, when I hit stop signs galore and 4 lights and stop to drink water and refill my bottle.

I also brought my 1973 MKM into the '80s. I installed a 7-speed freewheel last week and indexed shifting (downtube, of course) yesterday.

A good bicycling month.
