I like mrs non-fixie's Snel "Expedition" I
posted about earlier, so when I found one in my size I jumped at it, and took a similar approach to the first build. A parts bin special to begin with, to see how I would like the bike, as it's a really sturdy (read: heavy) touring frame. I got the weight down to a little over 13kg by removing the racks and replacing the 40-spoke touring wheels with their solid rubber Schwalbe Marathons:
