I got shingles last Feb (or it got me), after chemo wiped out my immune system. I still have the postherpetic neuralgia on the left side of my face and a scar on my cheekbone. I grew half a beard because it hurt to shave around my lip. Tried gabapentin and others, settled on lyrica, but it barely helps. I don't know about the vaccines, but it the nerve pain is my cost of beating lymphoma, I'll take it.
