Indications of a crash would have actually been a bit more relaxing - crash damage means it was right once and thus can be righted. Conversely, something that looks that minty but off that much makes me worry about framebuilders having "off" days.

I see what you mean now - better to have something obvious like crash damage than the possibility the problem was "built in" on a Friday after too much grappa at lunch! Yeah, that would suck; this thing's been out of warranty for quite some time now
