I'm confused with what's going on, what the problem is. To me, it's possible that the OP is just old-fashioned and used to formally introducing themselves (where that type of thing was expected and taught to the older generation, when writing correspondence). There are several articles and videos about them, online (I read one).
About the OP not responding, to me, it's possible that they could be busy (not everyone is online, all the time; has a cellphone; or is retired), or a little shy (having strangers immediately criticize a new person for sharing their own feelings and experiences can cause a person to be more reluctant and cautious about reading responses and/or exposing or sharing more about themselves, again, after that).
