BTW, I feel that she's actually handling things better than most would. I don't want to give the impression that she's struggling mentally or that her fears are irrational because she's a pretty well-founded and strong person. She'd just rather not go through this stuff, again. She is 68 so she could probably slow down a little.
I know it sounds a bit odd, but it doesn't look like she suffered a head injury which would have much deeper ramifications. Geez, the breast cancer would have been enough. But what you have said in this post, plus that picture of her on the trike, really makes her a hugely admirable survivor.
