My frame started life as an o.s.bb. That wAs factory converted to bb30. I am under the impression I need to remove the bearings, and press in a bb86 dub. I'm not sure though. There isn't a lot of info out there and some is contradictory.
On the brighter side, I just learned I have to replace my free hub with some sort of proprietary sram free hub , xdr, thing,another hunerd bux. I have no idea if the even make one for the Chinese wheel I was going to buy.
I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in Sram, sure seems like they went out of their way to make this as difficult as they could.
Yeah, you need to remove the old BB bearings. I'm pretty sure the BB30 Dub bottom bracket is the one you want for the Tarmac.
If you're getting a new wheelset, you should be able to order it with the XDR driver.
