For this level, I really suggest getting any of the Osprey replacement shoulder straps, such as
here, and attaching them to the Brompton T-bag. They will for sure provide more comfort and the bag will be sturdier and yield more capacity. Yes, the straps will dangle, but that is not much of an issue in practice. I got such straps on Ebay for $15 including shipping.
