Assuming it is in good condition with all components working properly that's a good choice for city/commuting/errands, etc. My wife has one - grip shifters with a triple up front, plenty of eyelets for racks, fenders - a decent steel frame/fork with canti brakes. You can probably fit some fairly big tires.
