Ahhh,... Lightbulb moment = I had not checked the Olympian spec for crankset, ....or forgot I did, ....or did not put 2+2 together. Purchased the AD Olympian from a flipper (15+years ago) who had several frames and many cranks, etc. Given 170mm length, it may not be original to the 62cm frame, or that was my thinking. Maybe the BB is also original, too. Doesn't matter to me, this one has been a keeper.

reason mentioned your Olympian is that I recalled the Star as being the OEM chainset for that model in the early years of the marque
the A-D launch in a the U.S. market was 1976
first saw of the models in person was 1978 in me LBS who had become a stockist
so the example looked at would have been some variety of the G2
