reason mentioned your Olympian is that I recalled the Star as being the OEM chainset for that model in the early years of the marque

the A-D launch in a the U.S. market was 1976

first saw of the models in person was 1978 in me LBS who had become a stockist

so the example looked at would have been some variety of the G2
