I could probably get 3,000 miles out of Shimano B01S pads. But I usually change them early to make sure I don’t damage the disc.

Also, at least on my bike (a Deore equipped hybrid), they don’t wear perfectly flat. One end of the pad is a little bit thinner than the rest of it, so eyeballing the last millimeter of pad thickness while still on the bike isn’t easy for me.

At under $10 per pair, I just swap them out at 2,200 to 2,500 miles.
