I just picked up a used SL5. I was looking at both AL and SL models. Now that I have it i'm nervous to install a rack on a carbon frame and i've wondered if I should have gone with the AL model. Your frame is made to handle much more stress than your racks are likely to ever create. Ride and enjoy. Repeat!
