The local MUP is often part of my route, esp. weekday evenings and rainy days. Lots of birds, furry things, and deer, lots of deer. Sometimes they just watch me pass, occasionally they bound along the verge 10-20 yds. ahead of me, just loping along, unhurried, until they find the right(?!) gap in the underbrush... But until today, it's only been does this year. Probably seen 30-40 or so along this 4 mile stretch, so far. Today was my first buck, a youngster, 6 points with really plush looking velvet on a small patch of open ground. No phone, no pic, but sweet.
