When I ride gravel as opposed to commuting: Stan's Iron Cross wheelset, Ritchey Speedmax 32mm tires. I also have a CX70 double crank/FD, BB7s and 105 shifters. 46T is great for most commutes - I rarely use the FD.
I quite like the stock dropbars on the Jake. At first I wasn't sure but I've found I use them a lot - the curved shape gives a lot of easy small adjustment points in your grip.
