My friend James H --he posts here infrequently and I cannot remember his username-- did the PA Randonneurs series on his fixie last year, so I thought I should do the NJ flat series on the fixie this year. Doh! The Batsto 200 proved that to be a bad idea
. I have done hilly 200's on the fixie and that was fine, but the flat one was unrelenting. I reconsidered.
Note also, my friend Jimmy (who does not post here, I think) is riding the PA series on his fatbike this spring. 200k, 300k, 400k, and the Flèche, done; 600k to go, and I have no doubt he'll accomplish that no problem.
Kids these days, you know?
