Cycling is much like sailing. The wind is usually coming from the direction you want to go. Last week riding home thru Irvine I had a headwind coming from about 10 o'clock on Bosque. Turned right onto Irvine Blvd and now had a nice tail wind. By the time I got to Modjeska (less than one mile), it was a headwind even though the road is dead straight. Wind direction changed about 180 degrees. Had the headwind all the way home.
