(above) Rockin' and rollin' this for 50 years now
I paid $125 for my Peugeot PX-10E in 1971... (I was 15 years old at the time and making $2.10 an hour)
It's been through the typical changes and now it's like this.
Phil hubs and bottom bracket (in service and spinning smooth since the mid '70's)
Allen head theft resistant hubs skewers...
New Schwalbe tires - 700c x 32 front, 700c x 35 rear
1980's Campy Athena crankset.
Double sided MKS pedals (SPD / plarform)
1970's Mafac Criterium cantilever brakes with Black Koolstop shoes and Tektro RL340 brake levers (new)
2015 Brooks Professional saddle...(I still have the original Brooks Pro saddle, but it's now retired)
American Classic seatpost with Campy binder bolt.
Specialized drop bars (80's version)
Campy Neuvo Record French thread headset.
Canti braze on's, rack and water bottle bosses and seat tube replacement (rusted through) by Paul Sadoff in the late 70's.
Bead-blasted and powder coated in 2015.

(above) Kind of hard to see, but there are a pair of hub polishers / cleaners I made from coarse Scotchbrite pads - Gorrilla Tape and bolts (to keep them from rotating with the wheels)...

(above) I love simplicity...
