Never understood these things ("drop bar-ends"), never will. If one wants drop bars, get a bike with/designed for drop-bars, and use appropriate brifters or brake levers/shifters. "Drop bar-ends" -- worst of both worlds. A 'drops' and/or 'hoods' position, without access to brakes/shifting. Don't get it.
Pretty straightforward, to my mind.
