I just noted this reply, and thanks for the comment.

When I read that post, it seemed to me to be a repudiation of this seemingly frivolous thread, unrelated to bicycling. I had commented that this is a fun thread; others have called it cool. IMO it is more about time than place, and besides that, American pop music is pretty universal (”The Great American Songbook”).

Personally, I'm unfamiliar with that song and artist, even after googling it, but man, that sure sounded and looked like an American tune and artist.
