I file this topic under "you do you". There are clothes out there that will keep your bum happy, the sweat wicked away, keep you warm, keep sun from your eyes, keep sun off your arms, all manner of wonderful things. All offered in a variety of colors and forms.
If somebody is willing to undergo lots of physical pain due to what they choose to wear just to look a certain way, that's on them. No matter what that is.
